Every parent or guardian of a NEST+m student as well as every teacher at NEST+m is automatically a member of the NEST+m PTA. We are one PTA for the entire school (K–12). Our goal is to create and maintain a welcoming and supportive community for all NEST+m families and faculty, and to support the administration and faculty in their efforts to provide outstanding curricular and enrichment programs to all NEST+m students.
The PTA raises funds for a wide array of expenditures, including:
- Dozens of desktop and laptop computers
- Web-enabled projectors for every classroom
- Per session rates for faculty members who offer after-school enrichment programs
- Singapore Math textbooks and workbooks
- Lease fees for faculty photocopiers
- Support fees for many of our sports teams
- 5th grade city-wide Ballroom Dance competition program
- Supplies for enrichment clusters
- Professional development for our teachers
- Math and literacy support and enrichment for our students
- Monthly parent/principal coffees for Lower, Middle, and Upper School parents
You Can Make a Difference
Each and every one of us can make a difference. Our collective participation enables the dynamic NEST+m community to continue to thrive. Every dollar we donate goes toward enriching our children’s education, and every hour we volunteer our time or services at an event, in the PTA office, or behind the scenes, we ensure that our kids experience the excellent programs, resources, and enrichment for which NEST+m is recognized. Donations to the General Fund campaign continue to be the best way to directly benefit students at NEST+m.
Thank you for your support,
The NEST+m PTA

COMMUNITY EVENTS
The PTA plans, organizes, and runs numerous community events to bring together NEST+m families and raise funds for all our programs. Each month brings events such as movie nights, ice-skating parties, theater trips, and international dinners; October's Fright Night is a favorite with students of all ages, and our festive Spring Gala & Auction helps us reach our budget goals.
PTA OFFICE
The PTA office is located on the Lower School floor, near the Main Office, and is open every morning from 8:20 to 10am, and usually later throughout the day. Please stop by with any questions, to learn more about what we do, or to find out how you can help. Extra copies of the most recent flyers and newsletters can be found in the PTA office, as well as designated mailboxes to return PTA event forms and RSVPs. If you wish to contact a member of the Executive Board, you may send an email to the address listed below or leave a note in their mailbox in the PTA office.
PTA MEETINGS
PTA General Meetings are held monthly (except December); meetings are open to all and are an excellent way to keep up with what’s happening at school. While we strive to communicate all critical information through SchoolHub notices, flyers, and the PTA page in the Monthly News, there is no way for us to replicate the benefit of in-person participation at PTA meetings. In order to have an ongoing and productive dialogue with our members, we need your in-person participation at our general meetings. We have scheduled a combination of morning and evening meetings (babysitting is offered at some meetings), in order to accommodate as many schedules as possible. If a parent has a specific issue that he or she would like discussed at a General Meeting, please inform the PTA Co-Presidents or Secretary before the meeting so that the issue may be placed on the agenda.
PTA BUDGET
Each June, before the last PTA meeting of the academic year, the PTA Executive Board reviews the expenses of the previous school year, determines the anticipated expenses of the upcoming school year, and gets input from the Principal about upcoming expenses. The Principal asks the PTA to supplement costs that are not covered in the allotment given to the school by the Department of Education. Once approved by the Executive Board, the budget is presented to the general membership at the last general PTA meeting of the school year. A majority of those attending must approve the budget. Once the budget is approved, parents have made a commitment to raising the funds, whether by personal donations or fund-raising initiatives.
PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS
The PTA Executive Board is a group of parent volunteers, elected yearly in the Spring, who work with the NEST+m community to support the vision of the school through fund-raising and the implementation of programs and initiatives. The PTA Executive Board meets monthly.
