Dear NEST+m Community,
Tomorrow, the 2026–2027 school year begins, and we cannot wait to welcome our incredible students back into the building!
This week, our entire faculty and staff have been hard at work preparing for day one and grounding the year ahead in our shared mission. Together, we reflected on our ethos, Intellectualism, Inclusivity, Collaboration, and Exploration, reaffirmed our commitment to supporting young people on their journeys as changemakers, and shared practical tools to cultivate a school environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.
Tomorrow, we begin that same essential work alongside our students. As we gather across grade levels, we will invite them to explore several key questions with us:
- Ethos in Action: What does it mean to live out our core values every day?
- Changemakers: What problems in our world do we feel called to solve? What knowledge, tools, and understandings do we need to tackle those challenges effectively?
- Community of Belonging: How do we want to feel at school, and what active steps can we take to ensure everyone experiences a true sense of belonging?
From classroom conversations to schoolwide gatherings, these opening days are all about building real connections, seeing and celebrating one another, and laying a joyful foundation for the year ahead. We are thrilled to launch this new school year in shared purpose with our students and families.
Have a beautiful first day of school, NEST+m, and as we launch this exciting school year…don’t forget to soar!
